BLAINE — Marshall defeated Irondale/St. Anthony 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday.

The Tigers got out to a strong start, as Leah Schaefer found the back of the net on the assist from Emelia Barker before Irondale/St. Anthony tied things up at 1-1 late in the first period. Marshall then took the lead back when Barker found Kaitlyn Timm for the score in the opening minutes of the second, but once again the Knights connected for a goal late in the frame to tie the game at 2-2 going into the third.

But with 3:39 left in regulation, Irondale/St. Anthony found the back of the net to tie things at three apiece and force an overtime period.
