YOUTH GIRLS HOCKEY: Marshall 12U earns 2-2 tie against Luverne on Sunday

MARSHALL – The Marshall 12U girls hockey team had their first road game to Luverne on Sunday, where the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

The opening goal came from Piper Mellenthin with an assist from Mia Wichmann. Kendal Beernaert followed with the second goal. Belle Deutz was in net with 28 saves.

Marshall travel to Willmar this weekend for the Willmar Classic Tournament with an opening matchup against Princeton/Becker Big Lake at 7:15 p.m.
