BBE’s Jacqueline Gossen signs letter of intent to continue golf career with Mustangs
MARSHALL — Southwest Minnesota State University head women’s golf coach Ross Webskowski announced Monday that Jacqueline Gossen from Brooton has signed a letter of intent to continue her academic and golf career at SMSU.
“Jacqueline possesses the characteristics we want in our golf student-athletes,” Webskowski said. “She is a skilled golfer who has a passion for the game of golf and great work ethic.”
Gossen, a senior at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrose High School, has been a letter winner since seventh grade and has earned All-State honors in both Class A and Class AA. She was named Class A All-State as a freshman and sophomore, qualifying for the state tournament both seasons for BBE, including placing ninth as a sophomore. During her junior season in 2019, BBE was paired with Minnewaska Area High School and finished second at the Class AA state tournament. Gossen was named all-state and recorded at 10th place finish at the state meet. She has earned all-conference honors four times in her career.
“Jacqueline is a strong student in the classroom and has excellent leadership skills,” Webskowski said. “We are very excited to add Jacqueline to the Mustang family.”
Gossen is also a letter winner in both volleyball and basketball for BBE and has been a member of two state tournament teams during her junior and senior seasons. She has been named academic all-conference in golf, basketball and volleyball.
