PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Minneota cruises past RTR, 74-46

MINNEOTA — The Minneota boys basketball team defeated Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 74-46 on Friday.

Logan Sussner led the way for the Vikings with 31 points while Alex Saltzer added 16 and Riley Buysse had six. Sussner led in rebounds with 18 while Saltzer and Buysse led in assists with three each.

Darrick Baartman led the way for the Knights with 10 points while Jonah Christensen added eight and Aiden Wichmann and Myles Williams each had seven.

Minneota will face Canby on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. while RTR will face Adrian/Ellsworth today at 3 p.m.

Allie Christianson led the way for RTR with 12 points while Haley Muenchow added 11 and Kalleigh Carr had eight. Christianson and Ashley Owen led in rebounds with seven each while Muenchow led in assists with three.

TMB will face Luverne on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. while RTR will face Adrian/Ellsworth today at 1 p.m.

Lauren McCosh and Hannah Stark led the way for the Sting with 11 points apiece while Shelby Mortenson and Brylea Ruff each added six. McCosh led in rebounds with 11 while Stark added four. Madison Hinz and Stark led in assists with two each.
