YOUTH HOCKEY: Marshall Pee Wee B drops pair of games last weekend

MARSHALL – The Marshall Amateur Hockey Association Pee Wee B team went 0-2 last weekend by 10-0 scores, falling to New Ulm/Sleepy Eye on Friday and Luvene on Saturday.

Friday’s game found Pee Wee B down 1-0 two minutes into the first period, but the defense came together, holding NUSE off until late in the period where they scored a pair of goals. The Eagles would put seven on the board in the second before the Tigers were able to hold them scoreless in the third period. Carson Becker made 40 saves for Marshall, with the Tigers putting seven shots on net in the loss.

On Saturday, Luverne jumped out to a quick lead, building a 5-0 advantage in the first period before adding three in the second and two in the third to win 10-0. Justin Dwire made 37 saves for the Tigers, who were only able to take three shots on goal in the loss.

Pee Wee B will be in action again this weekend when they travel to Worthington this Saturday before hosting Windom on Sunday.
