MARSHALL — The Minnesota Football Coaches Association recently announced its Class AA All-State Academic team and an area player made the list.

Tracy-Milroy-Balaton senior Lucas Gervais was the representative for the Panthers. Joining him on the list are Maple River’s Wyatt Simon, Barnesville’s Hunter Zenzen, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta’s Eli Grove, Eden Valley-Watkins’ Derek Utecht, Caledonia’s Ethan Jacobson, Lewiston-Altura’s Cole Mundt, Royalton’s Matt Kasella, Triton’s Parker Boe, Maple Lake’s Brody Kaiser, Bagley’s Samuel Scherzer, NRHEG’s Mason Ferber, Paynseville’s Caden Spanier, Blue Earth Area’s Jack Frundt and Medford’s Zach Wetmore.

On a scale where a grade point average of 4.00 is equivalent of a straight “A”, the team’s average GPA was 3.89.
