Below is the 2019 Marshall Independent All-Area Football First Team

Trey Steinbach, Sr.

Marshall

Steinbach finished second on the Tigers with 75 total tackles, including 12 tackles for loss and five sacks. He had one interception and forced four fumbles, recovering two fumbles. Offensively, Steinbach caught 14 passes for 207 yards and four touchdowns.

Gabe Raini, Sr.

Marshall

Raini finished his playing career at Marshall ranking among the best running backs in school history. His 1,075 rushing yards in 2019 moved him into fourth on the career leaderboard with 2,074 yards, while his 18 rushing touchdowns this year were the fifth-most in a single season and pushed him into third all-time with 34 career rushing touchdowns.

Shane Noyes, Jr.

Canby

Noyes was an anchor along the defensive front for a unit that allowed just 10.6 points per game in 2019. The junior led the Lancers in sacks and finished second on the team with 105 tackles.

Josh Anyasike, Sr.

Dawson-Boyd

Anyasike led the area in rushing with 1,491 rushing yards and 20 rushing

touchdowns, despite being a top priority for defenses facing the 7-3 Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks.

Payton Hess, Sr.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton

Hess was one of the area's top dual threats. While recording an area-high 1,558 yards plus 16 passing touchdowns, the senior also finished eighth in the area with 670 rushing yards. His 14 rushing touchdowns also ranked third among area players. On defense, Hess was tied for third in the area with five

interceptions.

Kalib Greenman, Sr.

Canby

Greenman provided the Lancers with a vertical threat on offense, leading the team with 36 receptions for 614 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. In the Canby secondary, he added three interceptions.

Cole Sanow, Sr.

Minneota

Leading the Minneota rushing attack, the senior ran for 793 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in 2019. Sanow recorded 64 total tackles and an interception on defense.

Dylan Johnson, Jr.

Murray County Central

The MCC junior finished fourth in the area with 960 rushing yards and added six rushing touchdowns. He also caught 19 passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns. On the defensive side, Johnson finished second on the team with 70 tackles.
