PREP TENNIS: Marshall’s Gionna Parsa earns Big South All-Conference honors

MARSHALL — The Big South Conference announced its All-Conference teams for girls tennis and a Marshall Tiger made the list.

In the West Division, the lone representative for the Tigers was Gionna Parsa. Joining the Marshall junior was St. James Area’s Ellie Becker, Jaelyn Haler, Gabriela Trapero and Samantha Tetzloff, Pipestone Area’s Skylar Mendro, Paige Ahrendt and Mackenzie Mandershied, Luverne’s Rozilyn Oye and Elise Jarchow and Worthington’s Kessey Aljets.

On the West Division Honorable Mention team was Luverne’s Lauren VeSteeg, Solveig Toftland, Brynn Thier and Mela Jarchow, Redwood Valley’s Isabel Hillestad and St. James Area’s Luci Kulseth, Noel Wescott and Sailor Mohlenbrock.

In the East Division, the All-Conference team included Blue Earth Area’s Tea Armstrong, Macie Stevermer, McKenna Dutton, Britt Howard and Arika Howard, Fairmont’s Briana Joseph, Claire Nemmers, New Ulm’s Makiah Otto, River Valley’s Brooklyn Moldan, St. Peter’s Amelia Hildebrandt and Emily Salfer and Waseca’s Taylor Pfeifer and CeCe Huttemier.

On the East Division Honorable Mention team was Fairmont’s Maggie Totzke and Lauren Davis and St. Peter’s Ella Boomgaarden, Milena Lund and Josie Wiebusch.
