WESTBROOK — The Westbrook-Walnut Grove volleyball team opened its season with a sweep over Edgerton (25-16, 25-13, 25-21) on Monday night.

Kelsey DeSmith and Camryn Bunting led the way for the Chargers with nine kills each. Halle Steen led the team in assists with 26 while Emma Wahl paced the team in digs with 23. Alli Vandekieft and Wahl recorded three aces each at the service line.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove (1-0) will face the Springfield Tigers next Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Westbrook.
