BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Southwest Swim Club attended the Brookings Summer High Point swim meet in Brookings, S.D. over the weekend. The Brookings Summer High Point meet was attended by 250 athletes from South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa and was held in a 50-meter outdoor pool. SSC had eight athletes competing in 44 individual events. Of those events, SSC had 31 personal bests, 24 Top 8 finishes, and three event champions (Finley Pelz – 200 Free and Lydia Hurst – 50 Free, 200 Fly). In addition, SSC had one swimmer earn overall High Point honors in their age group: Finley Pelz, 8 & Under Girls 3rd Place High Point champion.
