AREA BASEBALL ROUNDUP: Minneota Junior Legion slips past Granite Falls

MINNEOTA – The Minneota Junior Legion baseball team defeated Granite Falls 7-4 on Tuesday.

Jakson Esping led the way for Minneota with a 2 for 2 day at the plate with an RBI while Ben Skoczweski added a hit and two RBI and Kaden Carver had a hit and an RBI.

Thor Fischer earned the victory on the mound, going five innings while allowing four runs on nine hits and striking out three.

Hunter Wilke led the way for Granite Falls with a 3 for 3 day at the plate with three RBI while Nikson Knapper added a pair of hits and an RBI.

Bryce Sneller took the loss on the mound, going three innings while allowing six runs on five hits and striking out five.
