SPRINGFIELD – The Wabasso softball team split a doubleheader against Springfield on Monday. The Rabbits fell to Springfield 11-6 in game one before bouncing back to win 6-3 in game two.

In the opener, Megan Rothmeier led the way for the Rabbits with a 3 for 4 day at the plate while Halle Huhnerkoch and Jenna Frank each added a couple of hits.

In the nightcap, Sarah Franta led the way with a 3 for 3 day at the plate while Rothmeier added a double. Franta also earned the win in the circle.

Wabasso (1-4) will face New Ulm Cathedral on April 23.
