PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: 2019 Boys Basketball All-Area Second Team and Honorable Mention

Bentley Boike, F

Sr., Dawson-Boyd

The senior forward averaged 17.2 ppg and 6.0 rpg as Dawson-Boyd advanced all the way to the Section 3A Championship.

Carter Hansen, G

Sr., RTR

Hansen finished his senior season with averages of 18.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, adding 105 assists, 75 steals and 19 blocks.

Noah Puetz, F

Jr., Marshall

The junior forward averaged 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Tigers, while adding 41 steals.

Matt Onken, F

Sr., Marshall

Onken finished with a team-high scoring average of 13.5 ppg and 4.3 rpg, adding 23 assists and 13 steals in his senior season.

Andrew Quade, G

Sr., WWG

The senior guard averaged 12.5 points per game and handed out an area-best 223 assists, helping lead the Chargers to the Class A Tournament.

HONORABLE MENTION:

Zach Durfee, G

Jr., Dawson-Boyd

The junior guard averaged 13.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in his first season at Dawson-Boyd. His 75.9-percent shooting at the free-throw line was fifth-best in the area.

Jacob Hennen, G

So., Minneota

Minneota’s sophomore guard averaged 14.4 points per game, while adding 58 assists and 42 steals for the Vikings.

Aaron Loe, G

Jr., Lakeview

The junior guard led Lakeview in scoring with 13.6 points per game, helped by 28 3-pointers. He also recorded 55 assists.

Trevor Larson, G

Jr., TMB

The junior guard led the Panthers in scoring at 12.2 ppg, aided by his 87 made 3-pointers (second-most in area). Larson added 2.9 rpg, 36 assists and 11 steals on the season.

Brock Rohlik, F

Sr., Wabasso

The senior forward led Wabasso with 12.2 points per game and finished fifth in the area with 7.5 rebounds per game. He also recorded 45 steals and 23 blocks (t-fourth in area).

Spencer Wajer, G

Sr., MCC

The senior guard finished the season averaging 12.8 points and 1.9 rebounds per game, while also recording 58 assists and 33 steals, and 48 3-pointers.

Ethan Mischke, G

So., WWG

The WWG sophomore finished second on the Chargers in scoring at 13.4 ppg, while hitting 63 3-pointers (fourth-most in area). He also recorded 74 assists, 43 steals and 11 blocks.

Bryce Paulsen, G

Sr., Marshall

The senior guard averaged 8.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Tigers, adding 65 assists and 44 steals..
