AREA HOCKEY: Marshall Bantam A hockey earns pair of wins over the weekend

MARSHALL – The Marshall Bantam A hockey team squared off against Windom at the Red Baron Arena and Expo on Saturday. Marshall went 4-0 behind a six-save shutout from goalie Lincoln Mellenthin.
Meanwhile, the Tigers put 40 shots on goal. Wyatt Boerboom led the scoring with two goals and both Talan Plante and Sean Nwaiga also scored goals.
On Sunday, the Tigers Bantam A traveled to Redwood Falls where they won 8-2. Wyatt Boerboom led the scoring with four goals while Sean Nwaiga added two goals and both Jared Reinsma and Tucker Mauch added one apiece. Lincoln Mellenthin had 22 saves in net.
The team returns to action this Saturday at 3 p.m. vs. Luverne at home. The Tigers Bantam A season record is now at 9-8-1.
