YOUTH HOCKEY: Marshall Bantam A team falls to Luverne over the weekend

LUVERNE – On Saturday, the Marshall Bantam A hockey team traveled to Luverne for a District 4 match-up. Marshall took an early 1-0 lead off a goal from Sam Schwarz, but Luverne charged back with two goals in the second period.

After falling behind 4-1 early in the third, Wyatt Boerboom found the back of the net twice and the Tigers trailed 4-3 with 90 seconds left in the game. Luverne then scored an empty netter, and the Tigers lost by a final score of 5-3.

Marshall Bantam A returns to action with a game this Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at Red Baron Arena vs. Worthington and Sunday at 10 a.m. at New Ulm/Sleepy Eye.
