TUESDAY SPORTS ROUNDUP: RTR takes out Canby, 46-38

TYLER – The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton girls basketball team defeated Canby 46-38 on Tuesday.

Kalleigh Carr led the way for the Knights with 16 points while Jonni Biren added 12 and Haley Muenchow had seven.

Kayelee Johnson led the way for the Lancers with eight points while Hannah Jelen and Sarah Hansen each added six. Johnson also led in rebounds with nine while Sarah Hansen, Jelen and Morgan Cleveland led in assists with two each.

RTR will play YME today at 7:15 p.m. while Canby will face TMB today at 7:15 p.m.

REDWOOD FALLS – The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/Westbrook-Walnut Grove wrestling team defeated Redwood-River Valley 54-17 on Tuesday.

Jayden Torgenson and Tyler Vandendriessche won by decision while Ayden Horner and Anthony Axford won by pin and Levi Ellingson, Dereck Ellingson, Austin Axford, Jace Paplow, Trevor Eisfeld and Travis Willhitte all won by forfeit for TMB/WWG.

TMB/WWG will compete today against Canby and St. James Area at 5 p.m.
