The Chargers took the last two sets to defeat the Raiders 3-2 (22-25, 25-15, 14-25, 25-14, 15-12) and advance to the next round of the Section 3A Tournament.

Brittany Erickson led the way for WWG with 19 kills.

Kelsey DeSmith added 15 kills and two aces in the win, while Emma Wahl recorded two aces and 47 digs.

WWG (14-15) advances to the next round on Friday and will play at No. 2S Adrian.

Elise Rohrer and Courtney Schmitz each added five kills apiece, while Brianna Schmitz led the Rebels with 14 set assists.

MCC will travel to Lamberton to face No. 4S Red Rock Central on Friday night.

PRINSBURG — Dawson-Boyd’s season came to an end on Monday night with a 3-2 (25-12, 20-25, 25-15, 20-25, 15-9) loss at No. 8 Central Minnesota Christian in the opening round of the Section 3A Tournament.

Karoline Dahl recorded a team-high 17 kills along with 11 digs. Mary Bothun added 12 kills and 10 digs in the loss, while Tarah Johnson finished with 23 digs.

Dawson-Boyd finished its season with a 7-18 record.
