PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Minneota wins conference clash against Lakeview, 75-59

MINNEOTA – The Minneota boys basketball team defeteated Lakeview 75-59 on Monday night.

Thomas Hennen led the way for the Vikings with 23 points while Jacob Hennen added 18 and Logan Sussner had 18 as well. Sussner led in rebounds with nine while Thomas Hennen led in assists with five.

Tate Varpness led the way for the Lakers with 22 points while Jon Wyffels added 18.

Minneota (5-0) will face Heron Lake-Okabena on Friday at 7:15 p.m. while Lakeview will face Canby on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

Blake Mercer led the way for the Lancers with 12 points while Riley Kockelman added 10 and Zach Durfee had nine. Jacob Crowser led in rebounds with nine while Brandon Bursack added seven.

Dalton Anderson and Trent Skjefte led the way for the Sting with eight points each. Anderson led in rebounds with four while Carter Sneller led in steals with four.

Canby (2-3) will face Lakeview on Thursday at 7:15 p.m. while YME will face Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
