PREP BASEBALL: Marshall’s Criquet-Danielson selected to All-Star Series, named Mr. Baseball finalist

MARSHALL – The 2017 finalists for Mr. Baseball were announced Thursday, with a familiar face making the cut. Marshall’s Dylan Criquet-Danielson is one of seven finalists in the state of Minnesota.

The soon to be Oklahoma Sooner said being named one of the finalist for Mr. Baseball is a testament to all his hard work.

“It’s a great honor to be one of the seven Mr. Baseball finalists,” Criquet-Danielson said. “It’s something I’ve worked for and is a way for met to represent Marshall and Marshall’s athletic program.”

Criquet-Danielson was also selected to the Minnesota High School All-Star Baseball Series from June 22-24 in Chaska. He will be on the South All-Star team and will play in the outfield.

The All-Star Series will feature six teams of 16 to 20 players who will play a Round Robin schedule over the three-day tournament.

Criquet-Danielson and the Tigers will be in action today in New Ulm when they take on Mankato West in section tournament play at noon.

The other six finalists are, Sam Carlson from Burnsville High School; Ryan Christopher from Jackson County Central; Bubba Horton out of Maple Grove High School; Max Meyer out of Woodbury High School; Trent Palmer out of Anoka High School; Jimmy Ramsey from Minnetonka High School.
