MARSHALL – Southwest Minnesota State University Head Wheelchair Basketball Coach Derek Klinkner announced Wednesday the opening of registration for the 2017 Mustang Wheelchair Basketball Camp. The camp will be held on the campus of SMSU from June 13-16, 2017 and will feature SMSU alumnus and professional wheelchair basketball player Ryan Martin. Martin led SMSU to the National Wheechair Basketball Association National Title Game in 2001 and has played professionally for the Phoenix Wheelchair Suns and CID Casa Murcia Getafe in Spain. Klinkner, who is in his fourth season as head coach of the program, will lead the camp with Mustang wheelchair basketball players assisting.

The 4-day camp is $250 for overnight campers and $200 for commuters. Camp registration scholarships are available through the Southwestern Center for Independent Living (SWCIL). Scholarship applications are available at www.swicl.com with the deadline of May 15, 2017.
