It’s that time of the year when you better be on your toes.
Why? Because now is when ghosts, goblins, witches, skeletons and the Grim Reaper meander amongst us. Watch out!
Halloween is fun. As you may know, the roots of the holiday are very deep and go back to the days of the Celtics. If you haven’t researched the holiday’s history, it’s worth doing the reading. Then you will not blunder into a spooky character.
When you take a walk, be on the look out for the ghosts that may surround you. These unearthly creatures will try to lead you to their scary places by offering you a glass of Bogle Vineyards Phantom Red Blend. There are stories of this wine being made from the essence of those who innocently went along with those ghosts. Watch out!
Trick or treating is a wonderful activity at this eerie time of the year. It’s so much fun to see costumed families stroll along the neighborhoods seeking treats. However, don’t ever forget there can be tricks, too. Many goblins are known to to ask for a treat, and then offer you a glass of XXL Cali Extreme Halloween Blood Orange Wine. Again, the wine has a macabre origin so be careful of those goblins. They like to blend into the innocent trick or treaters and, then, do their sinister activities. Watch out!
If you go trick or treating with your kids, beware of the houses you visit. If you come to a dark red house with ominous decorations, walk on by it. If you do knock on the door, expect to be greeted by a ... dragon. You have come to the House of the Dragon. It’s known to invite you inside for a sip of House of the Dragon Cabernet Sauvignon and then you disappear. Watch out!
Don’t you enjoy seeing the amazing yard Halloween decorations? Skeletons have become a fixture in many yards, but once again, be careful. If upon knocking on the front door you are greeted by a witch, it’s best to leave immediately. If you are enticed inside by the offer of a glass of 19 Crimes Halloween Frankenstein Cabernet, please know those skeletons on the front yard came from previous visitors. Watch out!
Yes, this holiday can be wacky and sinister, but most of all, it’s fun. Enjoy the festivities and the costumes -- even the costumes featuring the Grimm Reaper. Just don’t get too close to this very bad creature.
May your Halloween be a bucket full of treats.
As always, eat and drink in moderation, but laugh with reckless abandon.
Cheers!
