I just don’t know
Excuse me for being so short, but my mind seems empty.
For those of you who know me, that opening statement might cause you to roll your eyes, and say: “Duh!”. For those of you who don’t know me, consider yourself fortunate! There are just some days when I don’t know what’s happening or why. Allow me to explain…
There are times I thoroughly enjoy being with other folks, and thee are times when I need to sit in silence. Maybe that’s nothing new to you either. Maybe that’s life. Wine is like that.
There are lots of red wines that call for a gathering. It wants to be shared at a party, and add its voice to the fun time. I’ve found that a bold red Malbec is a party goer. The bold fruity forward taste of the beverage stands up to the joyous moment and adds its laughter to the good times. A good Frontera Malbec from Chile is perfect for the times when we want to let the good times roll.
Naturally, there are times at a party that call for a special wine. Those occasions can be weddings, birthday parties or a happy reunion. Then, if you just don’t know for certain what wine to choose, go for a sparkling wine. The popping sound as you pull the cork grabs everyone’s attention, and invites everyone to see and taste the fizzy beverage. Everybody enjoys the bubbles tickling their noses as they sip the laughing wine. Why not have a bottle of Martini & Rossi Asti Spumante? This Italian knows exactly what you need – a lively and feisty wine to add to the festivities.
A while ago I was walking along Old Man River and embracing the beautiful day. It was a full sunny day with a touch of chilliness to it, but all was wonderful. Along the walk, I came to a spot where the bright blue sky aligned with the gorgeous blue of the river. Overhead there was a spruce tree and its overhanging branches framed a perfect picture. Along the river bank lay a patch of shiny silvery ice and I stopped to take a picture of the peaceful scene. I knew exactly what I was doing, and stood there in silence allowing nature to fill me with its grace.
I don’t know why I ended up at that particular spot, but I do know it filled me with hope.
May you know your way and find your place of peace.
As always, eat and drink in moderation, but laugh with reckless abandon!
Cheers!
