The best laid plans sometimes don’t work

This will be a rather short article. More on that later.

It’s not news to any of us that our plans get derailed. We went on a wonderful trip to Yellowstone National Park this past week, and had a bit of a hiccup while traveling.

While getting my baggage receipt at the airport, I noticed the fellow in front of me was struggling to get his boarding pass from the kiosk. When he very abruptly walked away, I stepped up and punched in my numbers and a baggage receipt appeared. I didn’t read the name on it, but just went to get my suitcase checked.

Later that afternoon we arrived at our destination, and our suitcase did not arrive. I wasn’t in a good mood at that point since our day had started before 3 a.m., and I let the attendant know my feelings. He was extremely professional and polite. Looking back at that moment, I could have learned something from him about controlling one’s emotions.

Long story short, our suitcase did arrive within two hours, and all was well.

Now, why this rendering is so short? Somewhere along the way, some darn bug decided to take up residence in my body. The bug isn’t nice to me, and I can’t wait ot wish it a happy adieu.

So more next week about our Yellowstone trip. Maybe a glass of Meier’s 44 Cream Sherry will help my recovery.

As always, eat and drink in moderation but laugh with reckless abandon!

Cheers!
