Participate in Marshall Schools 2023 survey

At Marshall Schools, the New Year is off to a fantastic start. We also welcomed a new member to the Marshall School Board, Sara Brink, who will help shape our long-term planning and priorities.

As we think about the future, we are committed to finding ways to improve education for our students and working with community members on our long-term planning. To help us identify priorities for education, all district residents are invited to participate in Marshall Schools’ 2023 Community Survey.

Your participation will help guide our planning as we address a variety of important needs within our schools and work to manage the rising costs of education. Marshall Schools is still facing a significant budget deficit ahead of next school year due in part to inflation and relatively lower state funding. Your responses to the survey will play a key role in helping district leadership decide how we address these challenges.

The survey will be open until Friday, March 24. If you choose to participate, your responses will remain anonymous. Results of the survey will be used to inform how our district can improve education for students and serve the Marshall community. To participate, simply scan the QR code below, or visit the link bit.ly/Marshall2023. The link can also be found on Marshall Schools’ website or Facebook page. Once you have completed the survey, don’t forget to share it with a friend who lives within our district.

During Marshall Schools’ 2022 operating levy campaign in the fall, myself and other district leaders were fortunate to speak with countless parents, staff members, students and community leaders about the needs of our district and strategies to meet the evolving needs of our students. While the referendum failed by a narrow margin, these conversations were an important reminder of the critical role residents play in the success of our schools. This survey provides a new opportunity for residents to share their perspectives, ideas and priorities.

I look forward to turning your feedback into positive changes at our schools. Looking ahead, I will be sure to keep you informed of further opportunities to use your voice on behalf of our students. Thank you in advance for your participation, and your ongoing support of Marshall Schools.
