To the editor: For those who like to get additional news on TV, do you like a variety? One of your choices on Direct TV — Newmax — is no longer being offered. Wonder why? They are conservative and the only channel covering Trump rallies. This is the second conservative channel— OAN — they have dropped in less than a year. If you want to keep getting left leaning news, don’t do anything. In February 2021, a high level group of Democrat House committee members pressured Direct TV to cancel Fox, OAN and Newsmax. To the editor: Lyon County is currently a hot bed for renewable energy development. Farmers and landowners utilize their land to power Minnesota, but unfortunately there exists a challenge in getting the sunshine and winds to market: transmission congestion. Tourism, businesses will benefit from abortion legislation

To the editor: The Minnesota Senate passed the abortion (PRO Act) legislation with no restrictions. Gov. Tim Walz is expected to sign it. It is to be Minnesota’s new lucrative, growth industry. Persons with wombs carrying small beings are on their way to Minnesota abortion businesses. In addition to the price of an abortion, these businesses will earn more money by selling their unlimited supply of body parts. Making us pay more for electricity

To the editor: Look at your electric bill. There is a line included that reads “Power Cost Adjustment”. That is a mechanism that permits utilities to regularly adjust the price of electricity to reflect fluctuation in the cost of fuel, or purchased power used to supply electricity. The cost to make electricity is affected by the price of coal and fuel.
