Trump not putting America first
To the editor:
Donald Trump ran for president of the U.S. saying he was not going to get the U.S. into anymore endless wars. In 2025 alone, U.S. military forces have carried out 622 air and drone strikes across seven countries, including Syria, Yemen, Nigeria, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan. Now the latest, an unprovoked attack against Venezuela, which he authorized the kidnapping of President Maduro and his wife. Maduro might be a bad guy, but so is Putin and Trump rolled out the red carpet for him. Now Trump says the U.S. is going to govern Venezuela. How many American troops are going to die during this process? The US is going to change Venezuela from an internally imposed authoritarian system to an externally managed one.
Trump claims drugs are coming from Venezuela into the US, even though most of the drugs come across the US managed border crossing in Mexico. The most unbelievable part, is that Trump himself recently pardoned ex Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez who was convicted and sentenced to 45 years in prison, in the U.S., for trafficking 500 tons of cocaine into the US. This is just the beginning, Trump has threatened military action to take over the Panama Canal, Greenland and even making Canada the 51st state. What is going to be the consequences of Trumps actions for the U.S around the world?
As the U.S. is spending trillions of dollars of tax payer funds on bombing and kidnapping missions, Trump cut food stamps, Medicaid benefits and subsidy’s for Medical premiums, while he gave billionaires 4 trillion dollars in tax cuts and he authorized 40 billion dollars to bailout Argentina. Trump claims America first, and 20 million people are losing their health care right now. Trump is the same person who tried to steal the 2020 election and did steal top secret documents and is a convicted felon who was indicted on 93 counts. I think JD Vance may have been correct in 2016, when he said Trump is Americas Hitler. Maybe work on the cost of living.
