Attend DFL party caucus

To the editor:

Are you unhappy with the current state of things? Are you tired of the fear, the hate, and dishonesty? Do you wish to a see a return to empathy, honesty, and integrity?

If so, join with others who share your values at the Lyon County Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party Caucus on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Adult Community Center in Marshall. A caucus is a gathering of neighbors who come together to discuss issues, build community, and influence the direction of the party. It is the night that will ignite the rest of the campaign season.

For more than 70 years, the Minnesota DFL has worked tirelessly to enact progressive policies and provide a platform for those who need it the most. We believe that every Minnesotan has a right to stable employment with fair wages, a proper education, to raise and provide for a family, accessible and affordable health care, safe communities, and to retire with dignity and security. We have made a lot of progress over the course of our party’s history, but there is still much more to do to ensure no one is left behind. Together, we will continue to build an even better Minnesota for all Minnesotans.

Attending the Lyon County DFL Caucus is your opportunity to voice your concerns and participate in grassroots democracy. You can make a difference. Whether you’ve attended many caucuses in the past or this will be your first, you will be welcomed and heard.

Join us on Feb. 3. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.; the caucus begins at 7 p.m. This is the beginning of taking back our country.
