To the editor:

We have come to know life in America as freedom and democracy. The upcoming election threatens to destroy most of what we have believed in for the last 200 plus years.

Having a father who served and an uncle who gave his life during World War II I find it hard understand support for a person who does not honor our past. Having traveled recently to places that tell the tragic story of life under Donald Trump’s heroes Vladimir Putin and Adolf Hitler I can tell you about a lot of suffering. In Georgia, the Russians are occupying a large area of their country and would be more if they weren’t trying to take the whole country of Ukraine. Auschwitz concentration camp is a very sobering remembrance of Hitlers mass murdering of millions during the Holocaust and most recently a visit to Oradour-sur-Glane in western France where Hitler ordered the annihilation of the entire village including women and children.

If you are supporting Trump I hope you are ready for the consequences of fascism.
