To the editor:

On March 12, there was a meeting at the Lyon Co Library to discuss the new design of the Minnesota State Flag. It is sort of ironic how fast the DFL dominated House and Senate was able to pass the less than popular flag design with the help of an unelected panel.

Contrary to what was said, history is being erased. The new seal of Minnesota has no reference to when we were admitted to the union with the explanation that everyone knows the year. I challenge a question at random to people on the street as to when this happened and most will not be able to guess within 10 years.

After the meeting I was asked how to purchase a real Minnesota flag. If you go to the search bar online and type in: buy Minnesota flag it will bring you to a site where you can purchase as many as you want. Get one or many of them before the disgusting, no historical reference new flag starts flying.

As I stated last night, no one will see the new flag on my flagpole.
