Express your views at state flag meeting

To the editor:

In yesterday’s (March 1) letter to the editor a gentleman from Owatonna submitted an article regarding an unwarranted change to the Minnesota flag. Our state flag has been in place for over a 100 years but just recently has been called offensive and has to be replaced. A handful of left leaning individuals who with the support of the DFL dominated legislature formed a committee to get input on a new flag design. Something that affects the whole state should not be left up to the whims of a small group with an agenda. In addition to erasing history, this will put an unnecessary financial burden on all counties and state departments who will need to change their respective state seals, stationary and state flags.

On March 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marshall Lyon County library there will be a gathering put on by the “Flag Committee”. Round up some friends and at least express your opinion on this unnecessary move to change our state history.
