I am writing to express my deep concern about the ongoing dangers posed by the intersection of County Road 33 and Highway 23 in Marshall. This intersection has witnessed several accidents, and I fear that it is only a matter of time until a tragic fatality occurs.
The hazardous nature of this intersection is further exacerbated during adverse weather conditions, such as fog and snow, making it even more perilous for commuters and residents alike. Yesterday's accident (Nov. 1) that occurred at this intersection serves as a stark reminder of just how dangerous it truly is.
I urge the Marshall City Council to take immediate action by exploring the installation of a stoplight or converting this intersection into a J-turn. Such safety measures can significantly reduce the risk of accidents and enhance the overall safety of the area.
The well-being of our community members should be of paramount importance, and it is the responsibility of local authorities to address these pressing concerns promptly. I implore our city council to prioritize the safety of our residents and visitors by addressing this issue without delay.
