To the Editor:

Now that many of the construction projects in the City are completed this season, I want to publicly thank the contractors and sub-contractors.

Major projects included reconstruction of Third Street and Lyon Street with R&G Construction as the General Contractor and Hess Concrete and Werner Electric as Sub-contractors; the West River Parking reconstruction with D&G Excavating as General Contractor and Hisken Concrete as the subcontractor; The Legion Field Storm Water Phase 2 Improvement with Towne and Country Excavating as Contractor; Channel Parkway resurfacing with Duininck Inc. as General Contractor; Amateur Sports Complex Picnic Pavilion with Doom and Cuypers Construction as Contractor and Outdoor Basketball Courts at SMSU with R&G Construction, Hess Concrete, Buffalo Ridge Concrete and Borch’s all who provided major donations of skilled work and material.

All of the projects have been completed and will serve the city well for decades. We are fortunate to have quality local contractors that do excellent work on these major projects.
