To the Editor:
I am writing to express my support for the aquatic center building project proposed by the City of Marshall.
At Avera Marshall, we know that health care isn't the only component to a healthy lifestyle. Having fun, engaging facilities that encourage exercise for kids and adults can have a great impact on the well-being and vitality of a community and its residents.
In addition to fostering health and wellness, an aquatic center is a key community gathering place in the summer offering recreation and bringing youth and families together. And swimming lessons and water safety programs ensure community members, especially our children, are well-equipped to stay safe in and around water.
If funding for this project is passed, I believe it will make a positive impact on our community, making it an even better place to live and thrive.
