To the editor:
I am writing to support Ben Walker for Marshall School Board.
Walker is a passionate advocate for children, for Marshall Public Schools and for the Marshall community, demonstrated with community volunteer and committee work and active participation in the Marshall Parent Teacher Association. As a former high school teacher and a parent with kids in school he knows how important schools are to individual families and to the community as a whole.
Walker has that rare ability to really listen to the opinions of others with thoughtfulness and respect. He is not afraid to change his opinion or to recognize and implement the contribution of another, while always keeping what is best for students foremost.
Ben Walker's mix of advocacy for students, willingness to do the work, and openness to the ideas of others has earned my respect and my vote.
