To the editor:

I am writing to state my strong support for David Sturrock, who is running for Lyon County Commissioner in District 2. I got to know David through his many years of service in Marshall city government, including our time together on the city council.

He has also donated generously of his time and leadership talent to a number of community groups, including cub and boy scouts, the chamber of commerce and as president of his church council.

David also has a knack for talking with people of all backgrounds in the community, and in his job working with SMSU students from across the world.

As a council member David had a knack for bringing people and ideas together, and a willingness to collaborate with council colleagues and city staff to find solutions to problems. At the same time, he was always willing to speak up and challenge proposals he believed were poorly thought out.

His experience and his talents will make David a highly effective county commissioner. I hope you will join me and Jackie in voting for David Sturrock for Lyon County Commissioner, District 2.
