Thank you firefighters
To the editor:
The Marshall Fire Department had a drill that they call “I smell smoke.” When they are coming back from a call, anyone can say “I smell smoke.” The truck stops and they pull hose to the structure, both to the front and the back. They are getting trained on the tactical approach to attack the fire at the structure.
I had them pull up to my house and do the drill. I watched it. It was a learning experience for me on the new techniques that they are training with. I am proud of their commitment to be prepared. The community should also be proud of their department. They put in countless hours of training to protect our families, community and surrounding area.
This week is Fire Prevention Week. Please attend your town’s open house at their station and show your appreciation for their dedication.
Marshall Fire Department Open House is Thursday 5:30-8 p.m.
Thank you Marshall firefighters for all you do. You and your families are appreciated.
