Not living in ‘witches brew’

To the editor:

The editorial, “All of us need healing from pandemic-inflicted trauma”, (May 9) left me with the following thoughts. Despite the troubles and grief we encounter on this earth, in its no longer state of perfection, I do not feel I am living in a “witches brew”.

According to the Bible, we are more than victims or just survivors; we are conquerors with Jesus. The best healing and hope is knowing God loves us and has promised that life, not death, is eternal, through His Son who died for our sins, and lives as proof that our bodies will live again, too — in a state of perfection and joy.

The editorial did express the positive thoughts that we can pray for healing for ourselves and others and “A little love and understanding goes a long way in providing comfort and promoting healing.”
