Everyone knows George Floyd, what about Ashli Babbit?

To the editor:

As an American I was dismayed at the conduct of a minuscule percentage of Trump supporters on Jan. 6, 2021. Those guilty should be brought to trial instead of being held in solitary confinement, enduring squalid conditions in the Washington, D.C. jail.

As an American I am irate at the lack of prosecution of the police officer who shot an unarmed Ashli Babbitt. Everyone knows the name of George Floyd but how many of you even know who Ashli Babbit was?

Today the bumbling shell of a man who occupies the White House took it upon himself to spew lies on national TV. The most blatant was his statement regarding an “armed insurrection”. First of all, no one but the fake news and Trump haters are calling it an insurrection and the only gun used was to kill Ashli Babbit.

Where are those in charge standing up for the prosecution of those involved in the summer riots of 2020 when there was an insurrection? You only have to look at Minneapolis to see the million of dollars of property damage. Then you have the nightly siege in Portland and Seattle. All told, over 16,000 arrests were made but over 90 percent of the charges have been dropped.

The “select committee” holding Jan. 6th hearings should be called a hanging jury: Trump hating democrats and equally disgusting; the hand picked RINOs.

Why did Pelosi remove congressmen (U.S. Rep. Jim)Jordan and (U.S. Rep. Jim) Banks?

Was she afraid that her shortcomings would be brought into the open?

To sum it up, the Democrats are a one trick pony. They cannot look at Biden’s record, loss of thousand of pipeline jobs, illegal immigration, gas and food prices, the surrender of Afghanistan and his dismal record on handling the Chinese virus.

Jan. 6th is all they have and pretty much all you will hear about.
