To the editor:

According to a recent poll by Axios of college students who are Democrats, 41 percent say they will not shop or support a business that supports the opposing party. Another 30 percent say they will not work in a business that supports the opposing party.

This is a sign that the current generation is out of touch with reality. Ninety-nine percent of businesses are small (under 500 employees), and of those, 53 percent tend to vote Republican. Since another 23 percent are Independents and may vote for either side, that is up to 76 percent of small businesses they do not want to work for. Small businesses employ 47.5 percent of all jobs.

Another problem with their reasoning is the food that they eat is grown by farmers who are about 70 percent, Republican. I guess by these standards, around 50 percent of college students will not have jobs. Another 70 percent will not be able to eat.

Funny how reality makes you change your views.
