Protect all of us from socialists

To the Editor:

I have recently uncovered a huge socialist conspiracy which has been a permanent part of Minnesota Public Employees’ lives for the last fifty years. This is called the Public Employment Labor Relations Act, and it guarantees the rights of public employees, including teachers, to form unions and to collectively bargain their salaries and benefits.

As a result, all of these individuals have the right to guaranteed retirement income for life. To make matters worse, our neighboring state of Wisconsin has taken steps to dismantle similar programs and curtailed this nonsense, while we in Minnesota have allowed these people to still have a say in their own working conditions.

Another neighboring state, South Dakota, has never allowed such nonsense, and has effectively kept public employees and teachers wages down to a level which is about thirty to forty percent less than ours. If you are one of those who has been fortunate enough to be a Minnesota public employee or teacher, or married to one, be sure to thank the visionaries of the past, mostly socialists, who have essentially made a deal with you and your family which will guarantee your income for life.

On the positive side, our Minnesota Republican controlled Senate has recently passed a bill to take care of our non-existent “election fraud” issue, a bill that is sure to be dead on arrival with our communist controlled House and Governor.

Take a moment to thank our Minnesota lawmakers for protecting us all from the socialists who are currently overrunning our towns with volunteer firefighters, ambulance personnel, municipal libraries, municipal power commissions, and any number of other successful entities which all continue to make our lives so functional and pleasant.
