Leaving God out of Democrat platform

To the editor:

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” Psalms 14:1a. At the 2012 Democrat National Convention there was a resolution to acknowledge God in the Democrat platform and when the voice vote was taken, it lost but the resolutions chairman said that it had passed. There was a call for division of the house and another vote was taken. The “yay’s” were beaten once more but the chairman again said that the “yay’s” had won. Anyone listening would know the heart of that body was determined to claim, “There is no God.”

Here we are now in 2021 and the Democrat party is demonstrating the balance of that verse, “They are corrupt, their deeds are vile, there is no one who does good.” President Biden has signed executive orders and memos canceling the Keystone Pipeline, elevate “global warming” as an essential element of U.S. foreign policy and national security, provide funding for abortions for foreign non-profits, allows transgenders to join the military, requires non-citizens to be included in census, allows boys to access girls locker rooms/restrooms against them in sports as long as they say they are a girl. And some Democrats advocating get rid of the police.

There was a time in my life I denied that God existed and was very foolish, but because I recognized and confessed my sin to God and accepted Christ as my savior, my mind is being renewed. As Romans 12:2 says “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” And I do this by meditating on Philippians 4:8” … whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think on these things.” God help me to do these. God offers wisdom to anyone who asks, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5.
