Losing our freedom
To the editor:
In the late 1950’s, my high school teachers at Tracy, who were mostly WWII and Korean war veterans, warned us about brain washing. They also told us that in Communist countries people were told to report, to the authorities, their neighbors activities, if they had large gatherings, or if they were taking their children to church, or what ever other things the state did not approve of.
On the Wednesday evening news, the day before Thanksgiving, we were told if our neighbors had large gatherings for Thanksgiving, if they were not social distancing, if they were not wearing masks, that we should report them to the authorities. So much for freedom.
