To the editor:

We currently have an opportunity to elect Steve Ritter as Mayor of Marshall, and I urge all of you to consider his candidacy very closely.

Steve has been a member of this community since a very early age and has been involved in business in Marshall his entire life, working with his father and brother. He attended Marshall’s schools, as did his children. I have had the privilege to work with Steve on a civic minded committee for six to eight years and I know that he is dedicated to the forward progress of his hometown.

For many years he has served us as a county commissioner, at least one term as chairman. The County of Lyon is in very good financial shape and has made excellent choices over the years to maintain the infrastructure and county buildings. Steve has greatly influenced these decisions and helped guide the county during his entire career/effort on the county board .

Being a businessman, he sees the financial concerns and closely watches the expenditures for the betterment of all county residents. He will do this for the City of Marshall as well. A vote for Steve Ritter is a vote for stable growth and funds being well-spent.
