To the editor:

Vote for Muna Mohamed for Marshall Public School Board.

A graduate of both Marshall Public Schools (MPS) and SMSU, Muna’s background, experience, and familiarity with MPS would make her a valuable addition to the school board. She would bring energy, enthusiasm, and a fresh perspective to the board, in addition to her first-hand knowledge of Marshall schools.

At SMSU, Muna served in the student senate and was later elected student body president. As student body president, her goal was “to make the campus better for every student.” Her presidential priorities included increasing student involvement and retention rates, enhancing student services, and making the campus more environmentally friendly.

She also worked as a graduate assistant with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and was a consistent, friendly, welcoming face on campus. If you didn’t know who Muna was, you weren’t paying attention.

Because of her leadership experience at SMSU and her experience as a student in MPS, Muna has the ability to be an effective member of the school board. Vote for Muna Mohamed.
