Making rich pay for everything doesn’t work

To the editor:

Detroit failed because it raised taxes too high for the middle class and the rich. In response, they just moved to get away from taxes.

This illustrates the major problem with socialism all the free programs they say the rich will pay for. The problem with this reasoning the rich have money to move and international bank account it very easy to go from one country to another. So much for the rich paying for anything.

You can only tax the rich to the point they still find it’s in their interest to still live here. After the rich leaves who get the bill for all the programs? The rest of the population.
