Applaud act of protest
To the editor:
The moment I saw a photo of two Walmart customers wearing face coverings bearing a swastika, I recognized and applauded their clever act of protest.
Gov. (Tim) Walz’s mandate requiring Minnesotans to wear masks in public is comparable to the German Nazis who forced citizens to conform to the government’s beliefs. And that, simply, was the point the Walmart couple made.
Sadly, they were vilified in mainstream and social media and even banned by Walmart. Does anyone really believe these people are Nazi sympathizers who wore the masks to express hate for their fellow citizens?
Give me a break.
