Don’t tell me not to look at the flag
To the editor:
As to your reader that commented “It’s a flag people. A flag. If you don’t like it, don’t look at it.”
So why do we hang the American flag on a flag pole? I think — to place it in a position that everyone can see, honor and respect it and all that it stands for. Each time I see the flag, I have a brief thought of all the sacrifice real patriots have made to keep us free. I suspect if a Nazi or rebel flag were hung on that pole, you would have a different opinion.
I detest the leftists/anybody trying to program their socialist agenda into the minds of people under the false guise of political correctness. If “some” humans want to alter nature’s laws — we can choose to accept them, but we don’t have to honor unnatural behavior.
So don’t tell me “if you don’t like it, don’t look at it.”
