Millie Thomas on way to supcentenarian
To the editor:
Happy 106th New Year for Millie Thomas. I’ve known Millie since the middle ’50s.
My mother brought my three siblings and I to the Gamble’s store on Main Street. Our trip was to buy our back-to-school clothing — maybe dresses and everyday shoes, boots and seasonal coats. I think it was Millie Thomas with always a big smile and the willingness and gracefulness to help us choose our items. We all were so thankful it was Millie waiting on us.
I want to wish her more New Years celebrations and more birthdays (in April) to be a supercentenarian, yes! Millie, you are amazing and I love you dear friend.
