No help for mental health issues
To the editor:
Mental health issues are a big deal nowadays or they should be.
But where do you go when your child or grandchild threatens suicide — not to the doctor or the emergency room. We made a visit to the ER in desperation. We were sent home with a phone number to call and a $1,800 bill.
We were shocked and devastated. Every day of my life since then.
I know things could have been different if we could have received the right kind of help that night. It has impacted so many family members.
