Judith Ann Engler was born in Currie, Minnesota, on September 20, 1943, one of 13 children born to parents Edwin and Violet (Rummens) Engler. She attended country school until the 9th grade and then entered the work force. She later obtained her GED, which she was very proud of.
While working at Swifts, she met the love of her life, Ronald. Soon after, Judy and Ronald were married on September 2, 1961, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marshall and they were blessed with six children. The couple made their home in Marshall where Judy worked for several companies including PPG, HiRel, and the Schwan's call center. Judy also became "grandma" to many children through her in home daycare, a job she truly enjoyed.
Judy was involved with her church, serving countless others as part of the funeral luncheon committee. She enjoyed going to garage sales, crafts, woodworking, crocheting, gardening, canning, camping, traveling, and keeping an eye out for Cardinals. Her passion was her family, and she was intentional about creating memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her lap was always full at family events as she truly loved being in the company of all her family, especially the younger kids.
Judy will be missed but joyfully remembered, living on in the stories that family will share and the hearts that she has touched. She died on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, surrounded by her family. She reached the age of 83 years, 1 month, and 15 days. Blessed be her memory.
